We reported the news: In Wollschlaeger (FOPA) Again 2/21/17, Dr. Young reported the 11th Circuit Court’s unfortunate en banc 10-1 ruling against Florida’s Firearm Owners Privacy Act. Although doctors are at liberty still to counsel anti-gun recommendations, at least they cannot refuse treatment to patients who disagree with their politics. We called out bad, anti-gun science and politics (too often intertwined): Anti-Gun Academics Cry: “Please send money!” 2/28/17 by Dr. Brown, starring (who else) Dr. Garen Wintemute and the California legislature grabbing $5 million of taxpayer money to keep his “bad gun” research afloat. Dr. Schwam points out the value of preventive health interventions against the possibility of bad actors infecting one’s life.
